These are a few of the photos from the TPL Trustee and Leadership Council gathering in Chicago Oct 20-22, 2005. Once again good people getting together to make things happen as TPL, the Trust for Public Land does so often. This visit to the wondrous Millennium Park was a highlight of our time together in the Windy City. The Frank Gehry designed Concert Pavilion, being in fact the Pritzker Pavilion. The Anish Kapoor created "Cloud Gate" or "The Jelly Bean" to locals. And beautifully designed landscapes to walk through and enjoy, courtesy of Ann Lurie.
This delightful photo is indicative of the very good time had with friends and family that is TPL. For my birthday I got to spend it with these good people and I couldn't have been happier. Except I guess for the excellent times the next day with the wonderful and gracious Ralph Edwards, Jr. who took me on a marvelous architectural cruise along the Chicago River. The city is a marvel of architectural masterpieces and the best are viewable from the top deck of those ships that navigate the river come rain come shine. We had a great time and just missed the rain, proving once again that to be with TPL is to be blessed.More photos coming! But this one is dear to my heart. Thanks Everyone!!!
